Bob Peters of The Punch Room warms up your palate with the perfect cocktail for wintertime, his hot buttered bourbon, an aromatic and spicy ode to the holidays.
INGREDIENTS:
2 oz Old Scout Bourbon
3 oz Boiling Hot Water
1 scoop Spiced Butter
Cinnamon Stick
SPICED BUTTER
1 lb Unsalted Butter
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 cup Sugar
1 tbsp Nutmeg
1 tbsp Cinnamon
1 tbsp Ground Clove
1 tsp Salt
METHOD:
First, bring water to a boil. While the water comes to temperature, make the spiced butter by combining and mixing all the ingredients in a bowl. Then, in a coffee cup, add the Old Scout Bourbon, three ounces of boiling hot water, and a dollop of your spiced butter creation. Stir and serve with a garnish of cinnamon stick.
