Brittany Skala graduated in 2014 with a BA in Dance and later received a license in Therapeutic Massage. The combination of the two, she says, led her to energy work and meditation.
Today, Brittany leads guided meditations at events around the Charlotte area and maintains a solo Energy Work practice with clients. Tied into that is her curated thrift store, Revival, where Brittany sells energetically cleansed used goods online and at pop-ups around Charlotte.
Where do you offer classes around Charlotte?
I do not have one main location where I work or teach. I guide a meditation at Selenite Beauty in South End every second Tuesday of the month at 6 PM. I occasionally lead guided meditations at Covet Atelier in Plaza Midwood. I’ve lead meditations at different wellness events throughout the city and am always open to come to someone’s space to guide/work with them. Most of my individual energy work sessions are held at Covet Atelier during closed hours.
Who is your work for, and who do you hope to reach?
My work is for anyone wanting to slow down and connect with themselves. I work with people from all different backgrounds, locations, ages, etc. My hope is to reach people who need a little (or a lot) of help finding their joy. Many of the people who find me and benefit from my work are those who are tired, overwhelmed, confused, or busy. Some people come to me looking to work through a specific physical or mental ailment and others may just need a little energetic boost or tune-up.
How do people work with you individually?
Anyone who wants to or is interested in working with me is welcome to email me at findyourrevival@gmail.com or send me a direct message on instagram, @brittanyskalaa or @find.revival. I’m always open to answering questions and talking with any person who isn’t ready to schedule but wants more information.

sustainable Charlotte fashion & meditation offerings
What’s something you’d like people to know about the wellness-related work you offer? Why is this field important to you?
I am not a healer. My purpose is to aid you in healing yourself. I am here to bring support and guidance to anyone who feels in need of it. I work with clients who have minor concerns and I also work with clients that have major, life-threatening concerns. I always say that energy work and meditation are additives to a medicinal protocol when the issue at hand is major. This type of healing can be used on its own or alongside traditional Western medicine- it doesn’t have to be one or the other.
This work is important to me because I have seen the benefits within my own life and wellness. Both energy work and meditation have aided me in overcoming major health problems, both physical and mental.
What is your favorite part abut your work?
My favorite part about my work is seeing the shift in someone when they settle into their body or finally release something they’ve been trying to let go of. During group meditations, I find magic in the moments when a room of people all have their eyes closed, focused entirely on themselves as they take time to focus on “being” instead of “doing.”
Tell us a bit about your thrift shop project and what got you interested in sustainable Charlotte fashion.
Thrifting has been something I’ve enjoyed doing for years. It’s a great way to shop while being kind to our Earth and our wallet. I created Revival as a way to show people that they can help the environment and look great doing it by buying “used.” I’ve always loved fashion and the curated collection I sell definitely reflects my personal style (think lots of Earth tones and comfy fabrics).
I also love incorporating energy work into the thrifting experience. Many people physically cleanse items they buy but they don’t think to energetically cleanse them. If I’m wearing a used sweater I bought, I cleanse it first to ensure that the energy from the last person (or persons) who wore it doesn’t attach to me. Who knows what the previous person wearing or using that item was thinking or doing! We don’t buy a house with bad energy in it so why would we buy a pair of pants with the same?
Anything we should know about or mention that’s coming up for you during the rest of 2021 or into 2022?
As of now, people can look forward to my monthly guided meditations at Selenite Beauty every second Tuesday of the month. Revival will be having a monthly curated collection of clothing on a rack at Covet Atelier starting October 1st. Follow me along on instagram to find out when I will be leading meditations at other events and when and where my thrift store, Revival, is popping up next.
