Spring 2020 Charlotte Beer Releases
Beer makers were busy these last weeks: Even with their doors closed, they’ve been busily meeting all your boozy quarantine needs. Now, just in time for the weekend, we’ve got a list of the newest of the new. Cheers!
Triple C released their “Rainbow Sherbet,” a fruited sour that boasts additions of raspberry, pineapple and lime puree with a hint of vanilla. The team says it’s “wonderfully jammy with a pleasant, sweet, and tart finish.”
Catawba released the “Downtown Door Knocker,” a springy beer with a bright, citrus pina colada flavor. Ripe pineapple amplifies the tropical character and balances the hoppy bitterness.
“Hive” is a hazy pale ale from Heist that’s bright and citrusy with a hint of sweetness from the honey.
From the brewers at Suffolk Punch comes the aptly named “Pulp Prescription,” a fluffy, thick, and juicy brew with notes of pulpy orange juice and abundant tropical fruit.
Old Meck dished up their seasonal “Munzler’s Vienna Lager,” acrisp, satisfyingly smooth lager with a slight toastiness courtesy of darker malts typical in Munzler’s era.
Birdsong is serving up their brightly colorful “Spring Seasonal Sunshine Lemonade Gose.” With sea salt, coriander, and notes of lemon, you can expect a juicy tang for a clean, refreshing taste.
