Charlotte is a city with a culinary scene that is constantly expanding and growing. Each season brings in a new collection of eateries, chefs, and mixologists. After taking a look around at some of the recent additions to our city’s ever-growing repertoire of good food, here is a curated list of some of our favorite new spots.

Charlotte’s latest addition to its fine-dining scene, Evoke is a new-age steakhouse imagined by Executive Chef Oscar LaFuente and Chef de Cuisine Robert Reinken. A part of the renowned Le Méridien Hotel, Evoke reflects the bright and luxurious atmosphere found throughout the hotel.  Specializing in prime and dry-aged steaks, patrons are also treated to fine seafood and house-made pasta.

204 North

204 North offers amazing American Cuisine at an affordable price.  Expect custom made cocktails paired with Carolina farm-to-table flavors. The owners plan for the doors of this chilled, relaxed atmosphere to open in winter of 2015.

High above the Queen City’s rooftops 21 floors up, Fahrenheit reimagines the American cuisine with an Asian touch.  Get a table, sit at the bar or dine in one of the many private spaces like the East and West dining rooms and enjoy a sophisticated meal.

A romantic hideaway blocks away from Uptown.  Passion8 is the result of European hospitality combined with the fresh, locally grown Southern produce.  Owner and Chef Luca Annunziata built his culinary resume growing up in Naples, Italy, and working in England, Switzerland and France. He strives to create a new experience every day.

The Asbury

Everything that is southern under one roof, Asbury takes its name from the innovative architect Louis Asbury Sr.  Serving lunch and dinner daily and brunch on the weekends, Asbury calls the Dunhill Hotel, formally Mayfield Manor, home.

Tim Groody, the leader of Charlotte’s farm-to-table movement, only serves the freshest produce grown locally.  Sit and relax inside or out on the porch and dig-in to their custom made plates with perfectly matched wine.

Heritage Food & Drink

Changing with the seasons, Heritage Food & Drink combines the hard work of the south’s best farms with the visions and creativity of experienced Chef Paul Verica.  Heritage serves custom-made New American Cuisine developed by Chef Verica over 20 years of experience.

The Punch Room

The Punch Room is a modern reincarnation of a drinking den inspired by the 19th century clubs of yesteryear.  Bob Peters’ creativity and near-perfect execution of a seemingly endless cocktail list make this place a destination in and of itself. Add, the amazing flavors of Chef Matt Carnevale’s plates and The Punch Room is sure to please.
