January in Pinehurst has a way of slowing things down in the best possible sense. The air sharpens, fireplaces glow a little longer, and the village settles into a quieter, more intimate rhythm. It is the kind of setting that invites lingering conversations, thoughtful pours, and meals that stretch late into the evening. This winter, that mood becomes the backdrop for Whiskey Club No. 19, an exclusive two-night experience celebrating craftsmanship, flavor, and Southern hospitality.
Hosted by The Local Palate in partnership with the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Convention and Visitors Bureau, Whiskey Club No. 19 takes place January 23 to 24, 2026, bringing together distillers, chefs, and guests for a winter weekend in Pinehurst designed to be savored, never rushed.

The weekend opens Friday evening at Brad Halling American Whiskey Ko., where oak barrels, warm light, and the quiet hum of production set the tone. Guests are welcomed into the distillery for a guided tasting of BHAWK’s portfolio, from refined premium whiskeys to a pistachio bourbon cream, paired with whiskey-inspired fare and a behind-the-scenes tour of the production floor. The evening is intentionally intimate, designed for conversation, curiosity, and connection.
Saturday unfolds at Pinehurst Resort, where guests enjoy a complimentary breakfast before a day at leisure. Some will choose to reserve a tee time, others will book a spa treatment or wander the village as winter light filters through the pines. That evening, the experience culminates with an intimate, collaborative multi-course dinner at The Resort Clubhouse, led by Pinehurst Resort Executive Chef Geoff Kenney and Top Chef alum Gabriel Pascuzzi, with curated wine and whiskey pairings.
