Blinders
South End’s newest sports lounge, with a 60‑foot-wide, 15‑foot-tall screen, has both indoor seating and patio spaces and features box‑seat reservations for groups. The Blinders menu includes shareables like wings, barbacoa nachos, tater tot poutine, pork belly sliders, plus a cocktail-forward bar program.
Caffeto
What started as a Colombian coffee truck is now a permanent fixture in NoDa. Caffeto brings beans directly from the owner’s family farm in Manizales, Colombia, served as hot and cold drinks alongside croissants, danishes, and pandebono. Look out for their monthly morning parties featuring live house DJs.

Chief’s Cocktail Bar
Fuel up with coffee in the morning and unwind with cocktails in the evening at Chief’s Cocktail Bar. Located in the NoDa neighborhood, this modern cocktail bar welcomes guests with its warm atmosphere. Chief’s offers a variety of cocktails developed by award-winning mixologist Bob Peters. Clark’s Snack Bar
Originally Good Wurst, the Plaza Midwood location is now Clark’s Snack Bar. While the restaurant has changed a bit, you can still expect to find staples from the original menu including hotdogs, bagels, burgers, and sandwiches. Clark’s Snack Bar is a great place for the family to enjoy a casual, yet delicious meal.
Curry Gate
This fast-growing Charlotte-area Indian & Nepalese favorite has multiple locations, with its fourth opening in Matthews in early 2025. Curry Gate is known for fresh, spice-customized dishes—from butter chicken and biryanis to momos and samosa chaat. Expect top notch flavor and generous portions.
Dogwood Southern Table and Bar
Feel at home with classic Southern hospitality and cooking at Dogwood Southern Table and Bar. Henrietta’s
Nestled in Charlotte’s fast‑growing Lower South End, Henrietta’s is a chef-driven neighborhood bistro from rally‑pickleball founders Meg Charity and Barrett Worthington, with chef Andres Kaifer. Henrietta’s features a seasonal small‑plates and house‑made pasta menu—think focaccia with chili‑honey butter, wagyu carpaccio, crispy gnocchi, scallops, ribeye—and offers a warm, dinner‑party‑style vibe.
La Bonbonnière Bakery
Expect only bold, unique, and delicious flavors at La Bonbonnière Bakery. What started as treats for friends and coworkers is now a local can’t-miss spot on South Tryon Street. Pastry chef Valentina Lopez strives for unforgettable desserts and memories in her baking. Her passion for baking resulted in flavors like strawberry birthday cake, royal Dubai, and pistachio cheesecake brownie. La Bonbonnière Bakery’s desserts are something you can’t pass up.

La Lima Sanguicheria

Once a church, then a plant nursery, and then a restaurant which shut down, the South End property is once again a restaurant: Leluia Hall. Marlee Jean’s
This small oyster bar brings a unique concept to Lake Norman diners: King Canary and Marlee Jean’s operate as two separate entities within the same space (almost like a mini food hall,) with King Canary heading up the bar program on one side and Marlee Jean’s serving all the food. Owned by Erick Crawford and his life partner Amanda Overdorf, Marlee Jean’s grew out of what was a food truck. Now, they serve an array of raw bar favorites, like oysters, crudo, poke, lobster, crab cakes and more.
Ms. Didi’s Caribbean Kitchen
From food truck to brick-and-mortar kitchen, Ms. Didi’s Caribbean Kitchen continues to serve up delicious Haitian cuisine to Charlotte. The kitchen is run by a mother/daughter duo who love sharing their heritage through traditional cooking. They offer foods such as leogane which is chicken, jacmel (fish), and au-cap which is a vegan dish. There’s something for everyone to try at Ms. Didi’s.
Painted Rooster
Opening this summer in Plaza Midwood (at the former Zada Jane’s), Painted Rooster is a chicken‑focused spot by hospitality duo Zach Current and Crissy Oliver. Serving fried and tossed wings, elevated mac & cheese, build‑your‑own salads, and bottled beers, the location is marked by a giant rooster mural painted by local artist Matt Moore.
Papi Ricko
Prepare for an experience at Papi Ricko on Central Avenue, not just a restaurant. Papi Ricko brings the brunch, tacos, and wings, plus live music and energy. Pizzeria Sapienza
Pizzeria Sapienza is built on 30-plus years of family pizza and pasta recipes. Rada
What was once LittleSpoon’s space is now Rada, a modern American restaurant that’s elevated the scene in Charlotte. While their menu has small changes daily, you can expect items such as veal milanesa, halibut, and striploin. Enjoy your meal with a drink like the Rada negroni or the Duckworth. You can expect a refined environment and delicious food prepared by Rada’s enthusiastic chefs.
Seaboy
From Chef Jonathan Cox, who brings extensive experience from kitchens at nearly all of Rare Roots Hospitality’s concepts, comes Cornelius’s newest dining destination: Seaboy. While it’s no hole in the wall — rather, a very quaint and elegant renovated home with some fun coastal touches — it houses only 10 dining tables, alongside a chef’s counter, patio seating and a bar. Seemingly Overzealous
This vibrant, allergy‑friendly ice cream shop has quickly become a neighborhood staple. Seemingly Overzealous specializes in dairy‑, egg‑, and gluten‑free ice cream, offering whimsical seasonal flavors and gluten‑free cones. With three locations—including its new Dilworth spot—it’s a must‑visit for families and anyone craving creative vegan treats in Charlotte.
Spaghett
After 20 months of work, Chef Sam Hart’s Spaghett is ready for diners. Indulge in their seasonal Carolinian dishes with an Italian twist. Surefire Market
Surefire Market is a modern bodega and fast-casual spot by the Lubika–Lutuangu brothers, founders of the Rock Hill original. Soft-opened this summer, the venue offers smash burgers, fried‑chicken sandwiches, hand‑spun milkshakes, and curated retail goods seven days a week. They also run a food truck at HopFly Brewing.
