Amélie’s captures the flavors of summer with their latest seasonal menu, featuring 33 new dishes, each with a creative twist on warm-weather flavors.
Amélie’s French Bakery and Café has long been at the forefront of Charlotte’s patisserie scene, and it’s easy to see why with their new innovative summer menu. The café recently launched 33 new seasonal items that add a fresh, updated flavor profile to their already extensive menu of drinks, tartines, soups, salads, and of course, desserts. Their new summer menu is a display of bold creativity and does not disappoint.
Executive Chef Mary Jayne Wilson, describes the “salty Côte d’Azur air, fields of provence lavender, freshly clipped garden herbs, and the balmy breeze welcoming a new season” as inspiration for their summertime flavors. Macarons with flavors like basil lime, jalapeno, blackberry balsamic basil, and mango saffron, a bourbon caramel and pineapple petit four, a roasted red pepper, corn, a pine nut salad, and a passionfruit strawberry limonade are just a few of the tantalizing options from their new lineup.
The popular French-inspired café has also announced another special treat for the summer—a partnership with Pure Intentions Coffee.
“Their coffee speaks for itself in quality and integrity… It not only pairs with our pastries and blends seamlessly in our espresso program, it also is superb by itself,” says Amélie’s Director of Beverages Maura Raymond.
Amélie’s now offers hot and cold seasonal coffee beverages that are now crafted with Pure Intentions Coffee, as well as 12-oz. bags of fresh roasts for purchase. Their new candied orange and lavender café soda highlights Pure Intentions espresso in a complex, savory, bitter, and mildly sweet drink that gets better and better with every sip.
A few of the previous year’s summer favorites are featured again on the summer menu, like the salads and the cucumber dill, and tomato, basil, and pimento cheese tartines. Select locations will also be serving new alcoholic beverages as part of their summer menu, including blackberry basil, grapefruit tarragon and mint, and passionfruit strawberry mimosas, as well as their new vin froid.
