Comida’s classic margarita, with its delicious house-made sour mix, is so good that we never thought we’d embrace another Mexican beverage. Then we tried the Margarita Jalapeño. It doesn’t get much more authentic than this, folks.
INGREDIENTS:
2-3 jalapenos, seeded and juiced.
1 lime wedge cut in half
2 ounces El Jimador Reposado
1 ounce Patron Cintronage
3 ounces Comida House-Made Sour Mix
Aprox. 2 cups ice cubes
METHOD:
Using a home juicer, juice seeded jalapeno and set aside. (Seeding the jalapeno will ease the initial heat from the jalapeno and allow the actual jalapeno flavor to shine through).
Fill a cocktail shaker with approx. 1 cup of ice, add El Jimador Reposado, Patron Cintronage and Comida Sour Mix. Shake vigorously. Strain into glass with remaining ice. Float one to two ounces of jalapeno juice just before serving. Garnish with quarter lime wedge.
