Dilworth Tasting Room is a charming little spot on East Tremont with a lush outdoor seating area that’s worth the all-winter wait to get a spot come spring.
The eatery is keeping true to the original structure and character of its predecessor, Dilworth Billiards. The longtime neighborhood pub occupied the space for 35 years, but when you enter today it’s immediately apparent that this has been upgraded into a beautiful, spacious new gathering place.
Owner Jaffer Kovic and his father, Hase, remodeled almost every inch of the interior. There are large red leather couches facing one another, a long mustard yellow leather bench wrapping the street-facing wall of tables, and another huge black couch along the side wall. The space is tied together by the expansive bar lining the back wall, back-lit with vertical rows upon rows of wine bottles. Dilworth Tasting Room also offers a lovely, garden-style outdoor patio during the warm months.
Their menu pairs perfectly with just about any glass of wine you may want to order, and Kovic has extensive knowledge of and experience in the wine industry.
Kovic has all the non-wine lovers covered with cocktails, beers, and whiskey/bourbon tasting flights, too. It’s the perfect addition to the neighborhood for an after-work bite, a date night, or a meal with friends.
