Our prayers have been answered: the long-awaited second location of Yafo Kitchen is now open in Plaza Midwood. This mediterranean inspired restaurant has become a staple to Charlotte’s fast-casual food scene, beloved for their fresh flavors, unique ingredients, tasteful combinations, and oh-so-addictive hummus and laffah bread. Lines easily stretch to the door at their SouthPark location, the first of what soon will be three Yafo’s to grace the Charlotte area, and their newly-opened Plaza Midwood location is already no different in quality or popularity.
Situated right across from Bistro La Bon on the side of Central Avenue, Yafo offers up it’s famed falafel wraps, shawarma bowls, and mezzes to another side of Charlotte. Unique to this location, Yafo Plaza Midwood has a sauce bar full of all the dippings your laffah could ask for. And, if their sweetly sticky baklava hasn’t been enough to satisfy your sweet tooth, this location shares a collaboration with Two Scoops Creamery right down the road – sneak down Central to finish off your meal with tahini and banana ice cream… yeah, you heard that right.
