Freshwater Interior Design is a full-service interior design firm based out of Mooresville. Karen and Alan Schmidt have cultivated a team of experienced and knowledgeable designers to deliver the results you truly want.
When working in the idea phase with a new client, Freshwater Interior Design asks a lot of questions to get an initial feel for tastes and aesthetics. Apart from the initial consultation, there are tons of inspiration photos shared. Plus, a concept meeting before beginning the actual design process.
A recent redesign from Freshwater is a stunning southern traditional look. The primary goal of the renovation was to make the kitchen larger and more functional. The client also wanted to close off the second story family room to create a bonus room, and of course update the entire aesthetic.
This Davidson, NC home is 6,000 sq. ft. and was meant to be southern traditional design with a modern touch.
One goal for the primary bath was to make it feel more open.
Dolomite, marble and quartz countertops all play a role throughout the home.
Each room had custom lighting from Visual Comfort.
Wallpaper from Scalamandre and Sherwin Williams Paint in shoji white, grays harbor, charcoal blue and pewter green were all used to cultivate the aesthetic of this home.
As a whole, Freshwater aimed to personalize this home with a southern traditional design and make it more functional for their client’s young family.
