Six of Charlotte’s Great Outdoor Dining Experiences
Nan And Byron’s
The popular traditional American restaurant nestled in the bustling streets of beautiful historic South End has added one of the finest patios in the Queen City. The expansive outdoor sitting area can seat upwards of fifty guests and features beautiful rustic tables, quintessential and comfortable copper chairs, chic umbrellas to keep you shaded, and a great overall atmosphere. The patio is both family and dog friendly, which is perfect for their new Kids Eat Free offering (12 years and under Sunday – Wednesday from the kid’s menu).
Vivace
Since its dawn, the Met in midtown has been a popular locale offering guests a variety of great shopping and dining options. Vivace has been a staple of the Met for quite awhile and the food and atmosphere are excellent. During the summer months, Vivace is a great place to take advantage of the beautiful warm weather. With views of uptown and the Greenway just around the corner, along with elegant mod outdoor seating that features comfy couches, a long sleek bar, and large umbrellas, you cannot go wrong.
Fahrenheit
Taking the city by storm, Rocco Whalen’s uptown restaurant exudes excellence. With one of the best menus in town (both food and drink) combined with one of the best views in the Queen City, its offerings are plentiful. Located at the top of the Skye Condominiums, this 9,000 square foot restaurant has great indoor and outdoor seating that allows you to take advantage of long range panoramic views of the skyline.
Soul Gastrolounge
This funky and frequented establishment placed in the center of Plaza Midwood is known for its eclectic food and drink menu. Our recommendation, get there early because seats are limited, both inside and outside, and during the warmer months sit on the deck, order some creative small plates or tasty sushi, have one of their talented bartenders shake up an imaginative cocktail, and take in the Charlotte skyline.
THE Cowfish
The large patio at the back of the Cowfish is a great place to enjoy a burger or sushi or burgushi. With tons of seating both under the huge awning, where you can enjoy the shade and the fans, or out in the sunshine where you can enjoy the warmth of summer, Cowfish has one of, if not, the best patios in all of the South Park area.
North Harbor Club
Enjoy a scenic and intimate dining experience right on the edge of the shores of Lake Norman. The Boat House at North Harbor is large and can accommodate a lot of guests. With umbrellas on every table to keep guests out of the sun, elegant ambiance at night with its beautiful lighting, and a great view this is one of the best decks in the city. The North Harbor Club also has nine slips perfect for the hungry boater. Simply dock the boat and make your way to the beautiful outdoor sitting area.
