“Our goal for the salon is to always have a drama-free environment,” says Kunijo. “This allows us to create art while giving room for all of our stylists to flourish and grow in their craft.”
Growth has been on the minds of Ehman and Kunijo ever since they first opened their doors. And they’ve been successful at prioritizing it. Kenna Kunijo currently has a team of seven stylists and two rising assistants, plus three more on the way.
“Our team has grown with each business season…” says Kunijo. “We’ve always been driven to be more than just a place for great hair, which is why we want to expand our team and eventually our education system.”

“We’ve been in the industry eleven years already,” notes Kunijo about her and Ehman’s experience. “But honestly, we never stop training or learning.”
