Carolinas’ Veterans Day Festival – 11/11
See the Carolinas’ Veterans Day Festival on November 11th to join in on free workouts, a kids’ zone and a veteran-owned business fair! There is also a skydiving demonstration that will occur. Tickets for this event are free.

Southern Christmas Show – 11/24
Be sure to go shop at the Southern Christmas Show this holiday season for many gifts and knickknacks! There are 450+ merchants selling crafts and holiday decor along with an entire room to sample wine from NC vineyards. Tickets are $13-$15 depending on whether you buy online or not, $8 for parking. |

Charlotte Christmas Village – 11/22
Christkindlemarkt, the annual European-inspired Christmas market, is back! They have specialty foods as usual and be sure to take your Gluuhewine souvenir village mug to fill with cider or hot chocolate. Vendors will be there along with an appearance from Santa and other holiday performances. Attendance is free and the event is from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Panthers Tree Lighting – 11/26
Want to see appearances by Sir Purr, the TopCats Cheerleaders, the PurrCussion Drumline, and the Black & Blue Crew? We do too! This tree-lighting ceremony includes new family-friendly performances, along with activities for your children, festive music, and even a visit from Santa! Hot chocolate and bottled water will be free of charge along with additional food and drink for purchase for multiple food trucks on sight.

Christmas Town USA – 12/2
McAdenville, a tiny 600-person town located less than 30 minutes west of Charlotte, transforms into the real-life “Christmas Town USA”! Going on for 64 years, residents in the town set up more than 500,000 lights, creating a city-wide display that attracts all sorts of national attention. The tree lighting will start on December 2 at 5 p.m. then lights will turn on at 6 p.m. Attendance is free.

Ride the Polar Express – 12/4

Ice Skating in the U.S. National Whitewater Center – 12/8
Want to go ice skating this holiday season? The U.S. National Whitewater Center is freezing 17,000 square feet of water for you to do so! They have three areas to ice skate on–free skate, winter sports, and a 600-foot ice trail! There will also be craft beer, hot chocolate and coffee being served by an on-ce trailer. Skate rentals are included but you must bring your own socks. Tickets are $20.

Magic of Christmas – 12/9

Speedway Christmas – 12/10
4 million lights arranged around a race track? I think so! Expect a visit from Santa Claus along with a Ferris wheel, Bethlehem village, different foods and games, and fire pits for s’mores roasting.
