The Spa at Selenite in South End, Charlotte is turning one! Selenite is a clean beauty and skincare shop on Camden Road. This past year, they opened their upstairs to include The Spa at Selenite. They offer services such as facials, massages, one-on-one meditation, and more.
As The Spa at Selenite gears up to celebrate their first anniversary, we connected with owner Tiffany Parrish to reflect on the last year and what’s to come.
Selenite is celebrating another year in business! What has been the most rewarding moment in business this last year? What about the most challenging?
The most rewarding part of launching The Spa at Selenite has been building a talented team and creating a loyal community of clients. It is so amazing to see people truly enjoy the experience that my team and I have worked so hard to create. It’s also amazing watching my estheticians, massage therapists, and wellness providers flourish and grow within their specialties. Their hard work, talent, and dedication have been integral to our growth and continued success.
One of the most challenging aspects has been learning to balance my two businesses with family life, and finding time to prioritize my own self care.
Tell us about The Spa at Selenite.
The Spa at Selenite was created to be an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We are located on Camden Road in South End. There are 3 treatment rooms, 2 for aesthetics and 1 for massage and wellness services. Our total body wellness approach fuses relaxation with results. We are proud to bring innovative treatments such as the Buccal Massage Facial and Full Body Lymphatic Drainage Massage to the Charlotte area. All of our facials utilize clean products from brands like Eminence, Osea, Kypris, and more.

We offer a highly customizable experience through our facial enhancements. Those include clean clinical chemical peels, dermaplaning, lymphatic drainage facial massage, gua sha, and microcurrent. Our holistic estheticians are here to help you create the perfect service to help you reach your skincare goals. We offer a unique even split of boutique shopping and spa services because we believe that the habits and products you incorporate into your daily life are just as important as professional treatments.
In addition to aesthetics and massage, a big portion of our vision is our emphasis on total body wellness. We offer private reiki and sound healing. Plus, there are meditation, and yoga sessions to help bring the mind and body into balance.
What is a new brand you incorporated into your business this past year?
Over the past year, we have launched so many exciting brands at Selenite Beauty that we also utilize upstairs at the spa. Odacite has quickly become one of our best-selling brands. Our clients love their “clean meets clinical” ethos and rave about their Renewing Hyaluronic Retinol Serum, the SPF Mineral Drops, and the Autumn on the World 15% Vitamin C Serum. We also launched Ayuna this past month which we will be incorporating into our services. If you haven’t tried them yet, I highly recommend their Facial-High powder-in-toner concentrate. It’s the ultimate clean dupe for the Biologique Recherche P50.
What is one of your favorite brands/products you carry that you think everyone should try?
Patyka is one of my favorite brands that I feel flies under the radar! I especially love their Advanced Plumping Serum. It’s one of our most concentrated hyaluronic acid serums that we carry. Plus, it has 3 different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid.
Agent Nateur is another one of my favorites that was part of our opening lineup back in 2019. Their Holi(Mane) Collagen Supplement went viral on TikTok which helped introduce a lot of people to the brand. Their collagen is marine based and includes pearl powder to provide essential minerals for strong hair, skin, and nails. Speaking from personal experience, this product truly works. I’ve noticed substantial results in as little as a month.
Last but not least is the Linné Purify Cleanser. This has been a constant in my routine for years and I love how it deeply cleanses the pores and treats breakouts without stripping the skin.
Where do you see Selenite in 5 years?
Over the next 5 years, my goal is to continue to grow our Selenite community here in South End and to open a second location in Charlotte. A second location would allow us to grow our community. Also, it will let new people experience our services and the magic that makes Selenite so special. On the retail side of things, our goal is to continue to grow our presence both locally and online. Over the past year, we’ve brought on 15+ new brands and we hope to continue to bring on more well-known and indie brands in the coming years. I love being able to support small brands that are up-and-coming, and innovating within the clean beauty space.
Do you have any celebrations planned for the anniversary?
In honor of our 1 year anniversary, we are thrilled to announce our new Self Care Membership! We’ve heard our clients’ feedback about a combined facial and massage membership and are excited to provide this new offering. The Self Care Membership is $165 a month and includes a choice between a 90-minute specialty facial (excluding the Buccal Massage Facial) or a 90-minute massage with your choice of one massage enhancement. As always, our members enjoy perks including 10% off additional services at the spa and 10% off eligible products at Selenite Beauty.
Will there be any promotions for customers in honor of the anniversary of Selenite?
