Founded in 1928, Charlotte’s beloved Reid’s Fine Foods has finally expanded into Uptown. Arthur Reid opened the original Reid’s on Morehead Street in 1928, followed by the second, more iconic, location on Providence Road.
The current owners bought the business in 2010, and took Reid’s back to its roots in Charlotte’s Myers Park neighborhood. Now, all three locations, including SouthPark, are committed to the attentive service and fine foods that Reid’s customers have enjoyed over the past nine decades.
Reid’s recently opened Uptown store, located at 121 West Trade Street, offers up all the staples we’ve come to know and love, but they also introduced breakfast.
This menu is unique to the location and includes, but is not limited to: Avocado Toast with pickled red onions, roasted tomatoes, and micro greens; Southern Fired Chicken Biscuit or Nashville Hot Chicken Biscuit; and the Breakfast Bowl, a selection of grits, gravy, bacon, house sausage, eggs, black beans, pico de gallo, potatoes, and avocado.
A full coffee bar is also stocked with a number of classic beverages featuring a specialized Reid’s House Roast, a Vanilla Latte, and an Americano. Grab your goods, find a spot on the porch, and enjoy.
Reid’s embodies friendly service wrapped in Southern style, in three convenient Charlotte locations. It’s a living, eating, drinking, beloved, celebrated, long-standing member of the Charlotte community and a regional mecca for sophisticated palates.
