ROOTS Café has officially opened in South End, and is now ready to serve you and your family any meal during any time of the day.
The former food truck has settled in a permanent location, but the goals are the same: to provide you with fresh meals, from quality, locally sourced ingredients that come straight from the area in which you live.
ROOTS Cafe wants to be able to serve you with a meal no matter what you’re looking for: a locally roasted coffee and breakfast sandwich in the morning, maybe a pastrami sandwich and one of their signature ROOTS salads for lunch, or an evening glass of wine or on-tap beer.
The interior is warm and cozy, an inviting spot to chat, relax, and sample the offerings.
The area is already giving ROOTS Café a very warm welcome, executive chef and owner, Craig Barbour says.
“The community is supporting and responding really well. We are developing a contingent of regulars, which is good validation for us that we selected a good, natural spot to launch this concept,” Barbour said. “A lot of our catering clients live in this area, and we used to park our food truck across the street at Atherton Mill for breakfast, so they recognize us.”
