Elkin, located about an hour north of Charlotte, is best known for its rich history, incredible scenic views, and its centralized location in the Yadkin Valley Wine Region. “Sheila is a wine lover and I love the small town, quaint feel of Elkin,” Cameron says.
Less than a mile from the home, you’ll find the charming Grassy Creek Winery, located in a historic dairy farm.
The town sits along the slow-moving shores of the Yadkin River where you can kayak, paddleboard, or tube gently down. It’s just 20 minutes away from the entrance of the Blue Ridge Parkway. It’s also in close proximity to Stone Mountain State Park and Carter Falls. Other fun things to do include exploring the historic downtown area, stopping by one of the nearby golf courses, or simply lounging at your home away from home.
