Anyone who has spent time in the High Country of NC can attest to the region’s unique beauty and culture. From the charming downtowns of Boone and Blowing Rock to the natural beauty that abounds along the Blue Ridge Parkway, this region offers a rich culture that is refreshingly distinct from other areas of our state. As more people flocked here for primary homes, secondary homes, or vacations, one place stands out: Blue Ridge Mountain Club. BRMC is a private mountain community located just minutes from Boone and Blowing Rock. It rests on over 6,200 acres with sweeping views and a national park-like setting.
Storybook Setting
Nick Presnell and Ean Faison have spent years immersed in this singular region. They first crossed paths during their time working on the sales and marketing team at BRMC. Presnell grew up in the High Country. After half a decade in Charlotte, he returned home to the mountains and his roots. Unsurprisingly, he hasn’t looked back since. Faison discovered the region when he took short, regular trips as a child. He jumped at the first opportunity to live in the High Country, and attended Appalachian State University.
Presnell and Faison discovered not only their mutual love affair with the High Country, but also a passion for helping others uncover and access all this region has to offer. While working together at Blue Ridge Mountain Club, the two facilitated tremendous growth and a deep knowledge of the community. “When we joined the development team, there were roughly 12 completed homes. Furthermore, the only amenity was Watson Gap Park and Pavilion,” says Presnell. “Today, there are over 415 owners in the community. There are roughly 200 completed homes. Plus, there are another 60 under construction at any given time.”
The BRMC you will encounter now offers world-class amenities that include a stellar on-site restaurant, Lookout Grill, state-of-the-art fitness center, and Ascent Wellness and Fitness. Plus, guests get access to Chetola Sporting Reserve, over 50 miles of hiking and UTV trails, regular outdoor concerts and events, and more.
BRMC and Storied Real Estate Collide
It was in 2023 that Presnell and Faison saw a new vision. Thus, Storied Real Estate came to fruition. Leveraging their 20-plus years of combined experience at Blue Ridge Mountain Club, Presnell and Faison help clients (mostly from Charlotte or the Triangle) find and own dream-come-true mountain retreats. “Having an understanding of what the High Country can provide for clients is key,” explains Presnell. “And, our years spent at BRMC establishing relationships makes our team the greatest resource for BRMC buyers and sellers alike.”
In addition to a deep-seated appreciation and understanding of what BRMC has to offer, the Storied Real Estate team’s foundation also relies on a principled approach to each client engagement. “Our goal is not to sell or convince a client. We are here to guide clients through a transaction,” says Presnell. “We provide them with the proper tools and information to make an informed decision based on the goals they have shared with us.”
Ultimately, what Presnell and Faison provide is a storybook setting for their client’s next chapter. “From the sense of community found in the High Country, to the lasting memories it affords,” says Presnell, “the uniqueness to this place is what we wish to share with those looking to call the High Country home.”
Storied Real Estate currently has many existing listings in BRMC with others coming soon. If you wish to explore purchase opportunities within Blue Ridge Mountain Club, there is no better place to find the guidance you’ll need to call one of the most iconic destinations in the United States “home.”
