Meredith Beregovski, the owner of Georgia Street Design, completed and installed this living room in the Providence Road/Cotswold neighborhood of Charlotte.
Her overarching goal was to create a warm, welcoming living room for a client who started Freedom Farm Rescue in Charlotte. Because of that backstory, Meredith wanted to find a way to incorporate animals into the design without being cliche—which she achieved through her choices of art.
The GSD team added many details to freshen up this ten-plus year old space, such as the coffered ceilings, grasscloth in the bookcases, and a brick surround on the fireplace. Today, with Meredith’s touch, the room has a transitional aesthetic and an inviting atmosphere.
This design added additional seating to the living room, a brighter feel through paint, trim, and furnishings, a better layout for more accessibility, fabrics that are family friendly and overall cohesion to every other room that it joins in the home.
