Romare Bearden Park is located in Uptown Charlotte and has a beautiful view of the city skyline. This park is great for watching the sunset because it has many places to sit, relax, and enjoy the view. Romare Bearden Park is also home to several events throughout the year, including concerts and festivals.
The Whiskey Warehouse is an old distillery that has been converted into an open-air rooftop bar with amazing views of the city. It’s located right in the heart of downtown Charlotte, so whether you’re looking for a place to hang out with friends or enjoy some fresh air and stunning scenery while sipping your favorite drink, this is a great spot to take in the sunset.
Dinners and Drinks With a View
The rooftop of Fahrenheit, one of our favorite rooftop restaurants in the city, is great for catching the sunset. Not to mention the great food and drinks served up at Fahrenheit. Enjoy some cool cocktails or fine wine as the sun goes down over the Charlotte skyline, then move indoors for a delicious meal that might include crab cakes, black kale caesar salad, or American Wagyu short rib steamed buns. They also have private dining rooms with wall-to-ceiling glass windows to enjoy the sunset from the inside.
Get in Nature to See the Charlotte Sunset
The McDowell Nature Center and Preserve is one of the most beautiful places in Charlotte, North Carolina. The preserve has hiking trails, horseback riding trails, an archery range and more. The preserve also has a nature center for visitors to learn about the local flora and fauna. One of the best ways to experience this gorgeous park is during sunset. The colors of the sky will take your breath away as they change from pink to orange to purple.

With plenty of parking and picnic tables, you can set yourself up comfortably and watch a show that combines nature and aviation.
If you book a room at the Hilton Uptown you can see an amazing view of the Charlotte skyline as the sun descends in the sky. Get into your whirlpool with some champagne and see the sunset in style.
Sunsets On The Lake
Lake Norman is the largest manmade lake in the Carolinas and is home to plenty of fun activities that you can enjoy with family and friends. The lake is surrounded by beautiful, lush trees, which give it an almost magical feel.
