The curtain has come down for the time being. However, we have exciting news. The Blumenthal Theater in Charlotte has announced its 2021 theater season featuring all your favorite shows.
For Charlotteans, the season is expected to start in November. They will be debuting Tony and Academy Award-winning classics like Tootsie and To Kill A Mockingbird. The 2020-2021 season will be the biggest in Blumenthal’s history with 17 shows. There will be more than 200 individual performances.
Hamilton Returns
Hamilton will also return to Charlotte as part of the 2020-21 PNC Broadway Lights season. Dates will be announced with the full 2020-21 season this spring.
All of the 2019-20 PNC Broadway Lights Season Ticket holders who renew for the 2020-21 season will be guaranteed seats for Hamilton.
This upcoming Broadway season will give the Charlotte community and its theater fans something to look forward to. The current crisis has been a stark reminder. It’s reminded us how lucky we were to enjoy the vibrant cultural and theatrical spectacles within our community. It really is a privilege to experience these great performances.
When it’s safe for people to return to venues, Blumenthal Theater in Charlotte could be the catalyst that brings the community back to life. As an additional bonus, Blumenthal will continue its “ticket protect plan” this year. Subscribers can protect their investment if they are unable to attend shows due to an approved reason such as dangerous weather conditions, illness, accidents and more.
The Blumenthal maintains their mission to present the best in the performing arts and in partnership with others, share and employ the arts as a major catalyst to strengthen education, build community cohesiveness and advance economic growth.
