ITC Millwork is celebrating its silver anniversary—a testament to over two decades of dedication, craftsmanship, and excellence in the millwork industry. This 25-year milestone not only highlights the company’s growth but also reflects the trust and success shared with its employees, customers, and partners.
From humble beginnings to becoming a trusted name in premium millwork solutions, ITC Millwork is a story of perseverance and innovation.

How It All Began
What started as a conversation over dinner about gaps in the market quickly turned into a bold venture. By early 2000, ITC Millwork was running its first mouldings with a small team of eight, led by visionaries Tony Valdez, Rick Ramsey, and Shane Higginbotham. Those early days were full of challenges—learning the intricacies of trim supply, operating without ideal equipment, and wearing multiple hats to fulfill every role.
Over time, ITC evolved into a supplier of premium millwork solutions, building strong vendor partnerships and gaining a reputation for quality. Despite hardships like the 2008 recession, which forced difficult decisions such as spinning off their installation services, ITC used those challenges to refocus on their core mission.
What Has Powered 25 Years of Success?
Several key factors have fueled ITC Millwork’s longevity in the industry:
- Forward Thinking: The company constantly seeks the latest trends in design, architecture, and materials while prioritizing excellent service for its customers.
- People-First Approach: ITC deeply values its employees, investing in their growth and prioritizing relationships with both team members and clients. From their experienced outside sales team to the behind-the-scenes teams in delivery, warehouse, and operations, ITC’s people are at the heart of every project.
- Expertise: With 288 years of collective industry experience, the company’s sales team deeply understands the needs of builders. This expertise ensures every project runs smoothly from start to finish.

Memorable Milestones and Projects
ITC’s portfolio spans a variety of remarkable projects. One of their first large-scale projects, the LE Meyers project in Durham, NC, topped $1 million and showcased ITC’s ability to deliver on a grand scale with precision and care.
Beyond large-scale ventures, ITC frequently collaborates on projects like coastal homes, historical renovations, and luxury estates that elevate millwork design to an art form. They also serve diverse markets, from multi-family developments to custom-built cabinetry, proving their versatility and commitment to quality across budgets and needs.
Growth in Team, Facilities, and Vision
What began as a single location in a modest metal building has grown into over nine facilities across five metro areas in four states. As their operations expanded, ITC Millwork’s focus on efficiency and next-level capabilities allowed them to meet the evolving demands of their customers with speed and precision.
Despite this growth, their core mission—building relationships and being a trusted partner for builders—remains steadfast. Whether providing premium materials or creating a supportive work environment for team members, ITC Millwork continues to advance with purpose.

Looking Ahead
As ITC Millwork celebrates 25 years of success, their commitment to excellence, strong partnerships, and industry-leading innovation continue to drive them forward. COO Shane Higginbotham reflects on the company’s journey: “At ITC Millwork, we believe in more than just supplying millwork—we believe in shaping spaces that stand the test of time. This milestone is a testament to the relationships we’ve built, the innovation we’ve embraced, and the passion of our team. The best is yet to come.”
