With their tenth birthday approaching, the beloved Charlotte Amélie’s French Bakery and Cafe pulled out all the stops for their annual fall menu. The restaurant tries to revamp their already acclaimed menu four times a year to keep in theme with the upcoming season. This fall proved no different with brand new pastries, salads, and soups with a festive autumn twist joining the lineup.
Their already popular macaroons will be joined by some new additions, most notably Caramel Apple and S’Mores. With warm buttercream and apple butter sandwiched between a red cookie, Caramel Apple is sure to stand out and become a crowd favorite. A Pumpkin Cream Cheese Danish, with pumpkin and cream cheese topped with pumpkin seeds, will also be a new face in the dessert case. It’s just as much of a treat on your eyes due to its elegant presentation. With eleven other new sweets also fresh out of the oven, be sure to try them all before winter.
If you are looking for a more savory bite, try out one of the six new soups boiling up in Amelie’s kitchen this autumn. With flavors ranging from the traditional Butternut Squash to the rustic Roasted Cauliflower (three options are even gluten-free), there is something to keep everyone warm when the temperatures start cooling.
Whether you’ve been a loyal fan for years or have been looking for an excuse to check them out, be sure to make the Charlotte Amélie’s French Bakery and Cafe one of your must-visits this fall. There are locations in NoDa, Park Road, Uptown, and Rock Hill.
