This event is presented by Jamison Realty and created for families to support children in need. The event will feature DJ Arroe Collins from LA Productions, multiple dance contests, games, and snacks. All proceeds will benefit Beds for Kids. This is a fun opportunity for the whole family to support less fortunate families and to give children who want to help others a chance to support the Charlotte nonprofit organization. Protect the Balls Golf Tournament and Auction
April 17 2020 1 PM – 6 PM
Olde Sycamore Golf Plantation has organized a golf tournament for men, focused on male charities for medical concerns like prostate and testicular cancer. There will be guy-targeted hole sponsors such as haircuts, cigars, bow-ties, and so forth. There will also be an auction to raise money for the charity. One of the DJs will be setup at one hole to lay each golfer’s “theme music” as they step up to the tee. There will be music, food and beverages, and prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.

3rd Annual Dale Beatty Memorial 5K & Fun Run

Dale Beatty, a combat-wounded Army veteran and co-founder of Purple Heart Homes, passed away suddenly on February 12, 2018, at the age of 39. He left behind his wife, three children, and a nonprofit mission. You are invited to join Purple Heart Homes in their annual Dale Beatty Memorial 5K & Fun Run in Dale’s hometown of Statesville, NC. Whether you’re a runner, walker, or an overall supporter of Dale Beatty, this is a chance to gather, celebrate, and honor his life and legacy. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Dale Beatty Family Trust and the Purple Heart Homes mission of providing housing solutions for Service Connected Disabled Veterans.

The Super Run 5k

This is a superhero themed run where each runner gets to become a real life superhero. Join in for a 5k fun run, music, festivities and more. Each participant will receive a superhero cape and collectable run bib, and the finishers will get a super finishers medal. Run for fun, or choose your favorite charity to raise money for.

24 Hours of Booty
July 24-25, 2020 7 PM – 7 PM
The annual event headquarters will be at Queen’s University and Myers Park Traditional School. The three-mile loop runs through a beautiful Myers Park neighborhood. Adult participants must meet a minimum fundraising amount of $400. At the most recent event, the race raised more than $1.4 million to change the course of cancer.
