Taste of Charlotte—June 8 – June 10 (Tryon St. from Stonewall to 5th St.)
This three-day festival showcases the best food Charlotte has to offer. With over 100 area
restaurants participating, it’s the perfect opportunity to overeat and find your new favorite
place. The festival has multiple stages for live music, street performers and cooking demos.
Stroll through six city blocks of food and fun.
The Neighbourhood—June 18 (The Fillmore Charlotte)
Alt-rock hit The Neighbourhood is bringing their soft blend of chillwave, R&B and indie rock to the Fillmore Charlotte. The band has enjoyed a steady following since their song “Afraid” came
out back in 2013. This tour finds them playing all over the world from Germany to Argentina
and now they’re set to arrive in Charlotte for one night only.
Heroes Convention—June 15 – June 17 (Charlotte Convention Center)
The Heroes convention has been an annual hub of Charlotte’s geek scene since 1995. With an
average attendance of over 40,000 people, it is one of the largest independent comic book
conventions in the United States. It’s a must-visit for collectors and has a comics-first family-
friendly atmosphere. Meet the creators of your favorite characters and hang out with the
passionate, colorful crowd.
Artbreak at Levine Center for the Arts—June 21 (Levine Center for the Arts)
Levine Center for the Arts offers free, 30-minute guided tours at Mint Museum Uptown, the
Bechtler Museum of Modern Art and the Gantt Center for African-American Arts and Culture.
The experience is tailored to the audience and is perfect for both art newbies and experienced
connoisseurs. This art blitz is a quick, easy injection of beauty and taste to your Thursday and is

WDAV’s small batch concert series—June 26 (Free Range Brewing)
WDAV, Davidson College’s Classical public radio station, is teaming up with Free Range Brewing
to put on a series of concerts with a focus on good people, music, and beer. The shows are free,
but $10 get you a custom pint glass filled with Free Range beer. Sit back and enjoy your bubbly
libations while the Beo String Quartet plays a program of new chamber music just for you.
