To the east of Charlotte’s Uptown lies the quirky neighborhood of Plaza Midwood— originally a dirt road next to some strawberry farms, and later developed into a streetcar suburb that merged two major subdivisions. Now, Plaza Midwood clearly forms a single neighborhood, and represents a mixing pot of cultures, brought through by way of streetcars that previously occupied the streets. Today, we celebrate Plaza Midwood for its original, spunky food, local artists and performances, and a welcoming, down-to-earth community who is always ready to party!
