Mills Garden Herb Farm Wreath Making
On December 4, gather in the barn filled with holiday tunes at Mills Garden Herb Farm for a wreath making workshop from 2-5PM. The wreaths will be made of fresh cut evergreens, holly, ivy, pine cones, mistletoe, and more. Enjoy hot tea and spicy cider as you work.
The Blossom Shop
On December 5 at 7:30PM, The Mint is holding a free holiday arrangements class with Pat McCall, a floral designer at Charlotte’s The Blossom Shop. She will teach you how to bring in the beauty of our beloved gardens now that the temperatures are dropping.
Small Hands Big Heart
Also on December 5, Small Hands Big Heart will tame your anxiety of gift wrapping with a ceramic ornament and gift tag class. Bring your own wine to sip on as you personalize the gift tags that double as ornaments. People of all skill levels will use cookie cutters, stencils, stamps, texture tools, and add color with underglazes. The art will be fired and ready to pick up the next week.
Painting with a Twist
December 9 is your chance to go out and paint in your cozy holiday pajamas with your friends. Painting with a Twist is hosting their Twistmas Jammies Party complete with your own canvas, wine, prizes, and giveaways. The featured painting is a decorated Christmas tree topped with a golden star in the glittery winter snow on a starry night. The instructor will teach it step-by-step so you can bring home a masterpiece craft, either to give or keep, by the end of the night.
Historic Rosedale Plantation
December 10 is the Greenery workshop at the Historic Rosedale Plantation from 10AM to noon where you will take home a bowl of winter greens to last the entire season. Then, Jeff, the Garden Curator, will teach you how to make a boxwood wreath and festive garlands. This festive craft is perfect for the holiday season.
