Anne Neilson Fine Art celebrated ten years this past May. Founded in 2014 by Anne Neilson, their mission is to be platform to use art and give back. ANFA gives a percentage of proceeds from art that is sold in the gallery to both local and national organizations. There is such a need to spread the healing and joyful power of art in the Charlotte community and beyond.
Anne Neilson Fine Art is continually seeking artists, emerging to established, that share the same values and passions as they do. Right now, Adele Yonchak, a highly reagrded ANFA artist who is local to Charlotte, Kevin Sloan, and Addison Duke are hanging in the gallery until mid-September. You don’t want to miss seeing their work on display.
We got in touch with Logan Sutton, gallery director of Anne Neilson Fine Art, to share more about their purpose and reflect on the last ten years.
“Art brings soul to the home; it tells your story, your journey,” says Sutton. “It heals and sparks inspiration. We are overjoyed that we get to help bring your story to life in your homes — Charlotte and beyond! Your support will allow our dreams to come to fruition for the next 10 years and the next 10 after that. We cannot express our gratitude enough.”
What has it been like to have played a major role in cultivating a community of artists, designers, and art admirers in Charlotte?
Every artist has the power to inspire, uplift, and make a difference in their community through their creativity. By cultivating a community of artists and using art to give back, they are not only expressing themselves but also spreading joy, hope, and unity. Their unique talents have the potential to touch hearts, spark change, and create a positive impact. And that is what we love at Anne Neilson Fine Art…being able to showcase the art we love and give back to those in need.
How does your team help contribute to the success of Anne Neilson Fine Art?
ANFA has an amazing gallery team. Each person on our team possesses exceptional qualities that not only enhance our ability to sell art but also makes a profound difference in our community. We have a dedicated team with a deep passion for art, creativity, professionalism, and a genuine love for what we do. The ANFA team has keen eye for aesthetics, coupled with excellent communication skills and vast knowledge of art history. This enables ANFA to effectively showcase and promote the work of talented artists. By fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment, our team at ANFA engages with art enthusiasts of all backgrounds, sparking meaningful conversations and connections that enrich our community culturally and socially.
What do you have in mind for the next 10 years of ANFA?
We plan on continuing the growth or our branches: partnering with more nonprofit organizations, building upon our immensely talented artist roster, and spreading our roots to new territories. Our gallery owner, Anne Neilson, loves to dream big and bring awareness to organizations that are near and dear to her heart. We have hosted many unplugged nights at the gallery with various musicians, seated dinners for movie premiers, art exhibition opening receptions, and more that bring the community together for a greater cause.
ANFA’s mission is to give back through art. How has that been expressed in the Charlotte community throughout the years?
We have donated to date over half a million dollars worth to various non-profits in our community and placed thousands of meaningful paintings into collections, both public and private.
