5K at The Whitewater Center
Start the year right by signing up for the Whitewater Center’s annual 5K and 5 Mile Trail Race. Runners can choose between the two races, both of which will start on New Year’s Eve at 11 pm and end on New Year’s Day by 1 am. There’s no better way to get on top of your resolutions.
The Whitewater Center offers 1,300 acres of recreation perfect for family, couple, or solo activities right here in Charlotte, NC. Registration for the New Year’s Eve race includes a celebratory drink of champagne or grape juice to celebrate your accomplishment! Pre-register by December 18th for a race day t-shirt. Headlamps are required to light your path as you compete within your age bracket or race for fun.

CLT NYE at Levine Avenue of the Arts
Have a night to remember with the whole family by celebrating New Year’s Eve with the city of Charlotte. CLT NYE presented by Ally is the best way to ring in the New Year. This annual, free Charlotte tradition is back to celebrate the start of 2024! CLT NYE includes a DJ, live music, the lighting of the Queen City crown, and a huge CLT NYE fireworks display starting at midnight. In fact, this is the only place to catch fireworks in Uptown on NYE. Join in on Tryon Street at Levine Avenue of the Arts starting at 8 p.m. December 31st.
The Avetts at PNC
Ring in the new year with 10,000 strangers and one legendary band. Concord boys turned Grammy winners, The Avett Brothers have played a New Year’s Eve concert in North Carolina every year for almost a decade. Catch them this New Year’s Eve at PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC on Sunday, December 31, 2023.
Middle C Jazz Club Presents…
The Middle C Jazz Club is one of the Queen City’s best-kept secrets. This swanky Uptown venue will celebrate with The Voltage Brothers on December 31 at 7 pm and 10 pm. The high performing group will bring in R&B, swing, beach music, disco, funk hip-hop, jazz, motown, and more. Voltage Brothers has performed at the Atlanta Olympics, multiple presidential inaugurations, and nine Super Bowls. Groove with the band on a designated dance floor.
