Kindred’s bar is gorgeous. We love the design — honestly, the aesthetic of the entire restaurant is on another level — but this marble majesty wouldn’t have any capacity to entertain without cocktail wizard Blake Pope behind it. His concoctions never disappoint, and Kindred’s available menu of 7-or-so cocktails is just the tip of the chipped-iceberg. Try one of his alchemical masterworks, like the cherry-topped Manhattan, and revel in a nightlife you didn’t know Davidson could offer.
INGREDIENTS:
2 ½ oz Bourbon or Rye
¾ oz Sweet Vermouth (we suggest Carpano Antica)
2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
2 Dashes Orange Bitters
METHOD:
In a mixing glass, combine ingredients with ice and stir until well chilled. Strain into a cold Nick & Nora Glass and garnish with a Luxardo Cherry.
