Lisa Palmer knows how to make exercise fun. Whether it’s going for a scenic walk or sweating it out in one of her many CycleBar classes, Palmer has mastered the art of wellness. The Charlotte CycleBar owner is living proof that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is entirely possible—and you don’t have to give up your favorite treat to do it.
What is your top at-home fitness tip?
It’s easy to break up a workout into smaller chunks when exercising at at home. It can be something as simple as taking a brisk power walk after getting the mail, or doing push-ups in the kitchen while making dinner.
What is your favorite type of “non-gym” exercise? (walking outside, hiking, surfing…etc)?
Definitely walking. I live in a big neighborhood with lots of hills, so I frequently get some friends together for a walk. I also love walking along the beautiful greenways in Charlotte.
What do you eat to fuel for such an active lifestyle?
I don’t have a set diet plan I follow. I try to make smart food choices through moderation.
What do you love most about CycleBar?
I love the sense of community we have created at CycleBar. Between both studios we are one great, big, #cyclefam!
What inspires you every day and keeps you motivated?
My kids are my motivation to succeed and be the best I can be.
