Need fashion inspiration? Fitness tips? Healthy recipes? Restaurant reviews? Today’s Charlotte bloggers have got you more than covered. There’s a wide array of writers, photographers, and creatives who are putting together their own media to bring the city to life. To help you find your online Charlotte guru in the New Year, we’ve compiled a cursory compilation of some of the Queen City’s best online presences.
BSoup
BSoup is authored by Bethany, a Charlottean with impeccable taste and uncanny know-how. Her blog is divided into three sections: outfits, looks, and DIY. On her blog, you can track what fashion-forward items Bethany is donning for the day, find inspiration for your own closet, and learn how to construct or spice up your clothing and accessories.

Peanut Butter Fingers
In September 2009, certified personal trainer Julie Fagan started her blog, Peanut Butter Fingers, in order to share recipes, exercise ideas, and thoughts with loved ones. Since then, her blog has attracted a much larger following and sustained a huge social media presence. These days, she lives in Charlotte with her husband, son, and dog, who help provide fodder for her blog posts. Her sense of humor, warmth, and talent for writing shine through, no matter the topic.

Tracy Curtis
Tracy Curtis’ path to local celebrity was unpredictable to the point of randomness. In 2005, following a successful career in TV and film production, she entered and won a Fox Charlotte contest orchestrated to select someone to cover the ‘American Idol’ finale. While stirring up trouble on the red carpet, Tracy found time to blog for The Charlotte Observer, which led to a nationally syndicated, weekly humor column. Two books and a new marriage later, she continues to blog about her wild life with poignancy and humor.

Southern Curls & Pearls
Caitlin Covington started blogging a few years ago while studying at UNC. Lisa Leake
A few years ago, Lisa read In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan, in which the author argues in favor of the consumption of more well-grown, unprocessed foods. Captivated by his research, Lisa set about reforming her diet and blogged throughout the process, inspiring tens of thousands of others to aspire to more plant-based meals while also garnering the attention of The New York Times, CNN, and Good Morning America. The coolest part? Lisa blogs from her home in – you guessed it – Charlotte.
