The New Gallery of Modern Art is pleased to present a solo show with highly acclaimed, gallery artist Shaun Cassidy. For Smelling the Roses, he has created a series of new sculptures and a set of textured drawings.
The large drawings were begun in New Delhi, India in 2007 and are the result of ten years of the process accumulation and reduction. The gallery conversation with him will be Saturday, September 30, 2017, 11am-12:30pm.
The New Gallery of Modern Art is also presenting their inaugural solo show with Aurora Robson. For Anthroposcenery, she has created a series of new wall-hanging collages and cluster sculpture. The title is an adjective meaning “relating to or denoting the current geological age, viewed as the period during which human activity has been the dominant influence on climate and the environment.”
