On May 9, 11, and 12, Opera Carolina will host Tchaivosky’s classical opera, Eugene Onegin.
This production was composed by the renowned Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, a famous Russian composer. He is known for his symphonies and ballets including Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker. Eugene Onegin is a heart-wrenching story of a beautiful woman, Tatyana, who finds and loses love and has to make a powerful choice.
The opera is based on a poem by Russian poet Alexander Pushkin with the same themes of loving and losing. Tchaivosky described this masterpiece as a Lyric Scenes in Three Acts. The interpretation for the show for Charlotte makes for a can’t miss night on the town.
