The rooms feature original artwork, woven rugs, and most include private balconies. Romantic goers can take advantage of the outdoor soaking tubs, jacuzzis, and saunas in the Matthews’ Suite or Hideaway room. Other rooms offer wood-burning fireplaces and steam showers. The room rates include all meals, hors d’oeuvres, and cookies and nuts daily.
Situated along the Cataloochee Divide, The Swag provides a breathtaking view of six of North Carolina’s highest mountain ranges. Take in the Black Mountains to the east, Great Smokies to the northwest, or the Plott Balsams and Richland Balsams to the southwest from this mountain resort. Nature-lovers can take advantage of The Great Smoky Mountains National Park which lies just minutes outside of the resort door and is a popular location for hikes and strolls. The historic Divide Trail passes just behind the inn as well.
