Charlotte-based artist Ruth Ava Lyons does all kinds of stunning fine art and performance art. This summer, she is showing 30 pieces from her “Organism” series at The Yard, Brooklyn, New York.
It is a project through the Site: Brooklyn Gallery. The reception is Thursday June 8, from 6-8 pm
Lyons is also participating in a show a little closer to home: the “Plastic Oceans” show at Expo 216, a gallerium in Wilmington, NC with an opening every 4th Friday through July.
Ruth Ava Lyons is showing a selection of her Oceanic Alchemies Series, which focuses on a message of restoration for threatened coral reef ecosystems.In this work, she has combined her scuba diving photography with painterly application.
