Join Sozo Gallery Tuesday, June 19 for “Stalking Deep Time,” a three-night exhibit featuring the images of Charlotte’s own Scott Gardner, an Emmy-nominated photographer and cinematographer.
A Lunch and Learn discussion will be held from 12-1 pm with a book signing following from 6:30-8 pm. Scott will host an artist talk beginning at 7 pm that evening. Entry is free and all are welcome.
Photographer Scott Gardner uses photography and video to create art. He graduated from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, and earned a BFA in cinematography from the North Carolina School of the Arts. He has worked on television shows for Discovery, National Geographic, History Channel, and Animal Planet. His ongoing photography project, Finding Silence, documents the role of silence, meditation, and prayer in ancient global spiritual traditions. His recent project, About Face Charlotte, shares the faces, voices, and stories of the thousands who live in poverty in the Charlotte area.
