These are the Charlotte summer events that most deserve a spot on your calendar.
Wind Down Wednesday Yoga – 7/28
Yoga and beer, what a great combination! Happening at Blue Blaze Brewing, join a certified yoga instructor for an all-level group fitness yoga class in the brew room from 6:30-7:30pm. The event will be fun for all adults 21+ as there will be fitness, brew, and the opportunity to connect with the community. Tickets are $10 a person and include the yoga course itself as well as a 13 oz. Blue Blaze beer.
Bop Around The Block – 7/31
Five13 Studio and The Brown Sugar Collab are hosting Bop Around The Block Saturday July 31st from 11am-5pm. Happening in South End, the Bop Around The Block event is all about good vibes and community. The event is free to attend and you can come support local businesses while listening to a DJ and eating from featured food trucks. You do not want to miss this!
August Beer Dinner – 08/10
Join some friends for a delicious five-course menu and Suffolk Punch Brewing beers. August Beer Dinner is being held at The Suffolk Punch brewery August 10th at 6:30pm. At the event you will enjoy a five-course meal presented by Executive Chef Michael Rayfield. Tickets are $65 and are going quick.
QC Live Art Experience – 08/28
This is a fun event for art lovers. On Saturday, August 28th from 11am-4pm, QC Live Art Experience is happening at Studio 229. The event will feature 15 Charlotte artists who will be creating live art for viewers. The event will also have a cool atmosphere, music, food options, and lots of fun. Buy a ticket now for $15 and enjoy the art!
Party in the Park at Mint Museum Randolph – 08/29
Spend your Sunday enjoying free admission to the Mint Museum, food trucks, live music, and a cash bar. Party in the Park occurs on the last Sunday of every month from 1-5pm and is a fun event to enjoy with the whole family.
Around the Crown 10k – 09/05
Join the community in a 10k race and run through Charlotte’s inner beltway and through uptown. The race starts at 8am on Sunday, September 5th and is $40 to register. The event also offers a kids run for $15 per child. Celebrate community and enjoy family at this fun event.
Immersive Van Gogh – Open until 09/12
The Van Gogh pop-up exhibit has come to Charlotte for a limited amount of time. Being the #1 selling show in the world, this event is a must see. There are projections of animated Van Gogh art displayed throughout the building. Located at Camp North End, you can buy tickets starting at $39.99 for adults and $24.99 for kids. The experience is open 7-days a week until September 12th.
Yiasou Greek Festival – 09/9-09/12
One of Charlotte’s largest cultural events, the Yiasou Greek Festival has fun activities for every member of the family. The festival will run from September 9th to September 12th from 11am-8pm on Thursday, 11am-10pm Friday and Saturday, and finish up on Sunday from 12-6pm. Activities such as enjoying Greek cuisine, pastries, live music, and dancing. Specifically for children there will be a large playland with rides, activities and cotton candy. Join the rest of the city for this free and fun event.
Flow Fest – 09/18
Calling all the outdoor lovers! The Whitewater Center is hosting Flow Fest 2021. Flow Fest promotes wellness and mindfulness in an outdoor setting. Activities such as a variety of yoga and mindful workshops will take place. Flow Fest is happening on September 18th and is a free event. The event does require prior registration, so make sure you register online in advance.
Girl Tribe Pop Up – 09/25
Girl Tribe Pop Up is happening September 25th at the Charlotte Convention Center. Girl Tribe Pop Up consists of multiple shops owned by women-led businesses. Lovely boutiques, jewelry stores, and artists are all available at the popup event. Tickets for the event are $5 for general admission and you can come support small businesses anytime of the day from 10am-5pm.
