Our weekend recommendation: start December off in full festive style with a trip to see the Nutcracker at Belk Theater. The classic holiday show will run in the Queen City from December 3-December 23.
One of most popular two-act ballets in the world, The Nutcracker has been imaginatively reinvisioned here by Charlotte Ballet’s choreographer, Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux. The family-friendly event is sure to entertain and enchant. Thanks to a generous gift from the McColl family in honor of Jane Spratt McColl, Bonnefoux collaborated with his team to adapt the classic Nutcracker production by using all new sets and costumes. The show will feature live music from the Charlotte Symphony.
