From Nov 11-21, The Park Expo and Conference Center will be hosting the 2021 Southern Christmas Show. Come enjoy the smell of warm, freshly-baked cookies and candy inspired decorations to get you into the Christmas spirit. This year, there are over 50 new vendors for exhibitions including, but not limited to, toys, food, home decor, and accessories.
The theme of this year’s show is “A Sweet Christmas” to display a nostalgic feeling of Christmas through the candy-inspired decorations. Built into the main entrance will be a life-sized Gingerbread castle. Monte-Bello, a Raleigh-based artist, created the castle that is featured at the main entrance of the event.
Preview night for the 2021 Southern Christmas Show will be on Nov. 10 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m, tickets are $24 online and at the door. A portion of the proceeds will go to The Sandbox, a charity organization supporting children with pediatric cancer and life-altering illnesses. Not only do guests get an early look at the show, they enjoy free parking, hors d’oeuvres and entertainment. The first 250 guests will receive a gift.
The holiday decor competition and four designer rooms are presented to provide inspiration for decor at home. The themes of the designer rooms are Snow Cream Fantasy, Cotton Candy Christmas, A Little Bit of Sweetness and All Snuggled in Their Beds. These rooms are based on different rooms in the house which include the sunroom, the bedroom, the breakfast room and the studio. There are four holiday decor competitions based on wreaths, mantles, doors and Christmas trees.
Christmas Tree Lane is one of the decor competitions featuring trees from the North Carolina mountains that were decorated by exhibitors. This exhibit always delights guests and gives them good ideas for their trees at home.
