Barrington’s Restaurant marked its 15th anniversary in Fall 2015 and continues to be one of the Southeast’s top destinations for upscale seasonal cuisine. The intimate dining room with seating for 45 provides a warm, comfortable setting for Chef Bruce Moffett’s innovative menu highlighting Southern seasons and Northeastern influence.
Chef Moffett knows from experience that the best memories are created around the dinner table. With outstanding service and attention-to-detail, Barrington’s Restaurant creates a unique and memorable meal. At the neighborhood bistro in Charlotte’s Foxcroft community, diners can gather for special occasions, weekend outings or a casual weeknight supper.
The Northeastern influence comes from Chef Moffett’s hometown of Barrington, Rhode Island, as well as his time spent as a chef in Boston. There, he acquired the taste for fresh seafood, often caught the same day it is served. Here in the South, he incorporates fresh, seasonal produce sourced from local farmers. Barrington’s Restaurant is a beautiful merger of the two culinary styles, with a menu that changes based on the Southern growing seasons and changing appetites. Barrington’s has a small but exceptional wine list, including bottles from California, Oregon, France, Italy, Spain and South America. The exclusive list is reflective of the restaurant’s philosophy; each bottle is carefully chosen to match the cuisine.
Chef Moffett expanded upon the success of Barrington’s Restaurant when he opened two additional restaurant concepts in Charlotte. Barrington’s, Good Food on Montford (2009) and Stagioni (2013) now operate under Moffett Restaurant Group. Each restaurant has its own style, decor and cuisine but they share one quality: a comfortable setting paired with innovative, seasonally-driven dishes.
