Early on a Friday evening, we headed from Uptown to NoDa to pop into one of our favorite local staples: Crepe Cellar. It’s a neighborhood eatery that’s welcoming and cozy, but also pushes the culinary boundaries a bit with their European flair.
Opened by Jeff Tonidandel and Jamie Brown (also of Growler’s Pourhouse, Haberdish, and now Reigning Donuts) in 2009, they’ve rolled out their latest seasonal offerings alongside some chef-driven plates and summery cocktails.
We rolled with the “Summer in Paris” citrus-y cocktail and an Aperol Spritz, before moving on to the fresh burrata and a super flavorful cauliflower small plate.
The roasted chicken and the duck confit were both standout new additions to the menu, plated with fresh, seasonal veggies.
We got quite the spread, complete with the purple slaw and roasted cauliflower sides. And, natually, one of the namesake crepes. Pro tip: Ask for it topped with an egg.
We ended the meal with one of the seasonal, housemade ice creams. The sage peach was next level.
