Plan on an open bar and buffet from 10pm-2am, with an in-house DJ. 5Church has a champagne toast planned at midnight with a live countdown of the ball drop. A portion of the night’s proceeds will go to support the Levine Children’s Hospital.

This craft cocktail bar and swanky lounge is one of Uptown’s newest destinations. On NYE from 9 p.m.-2 a.m, they will host a ’50s themed black tie party with live jazz – one of the bar’s signatures – and a DJ on the rooftop. They will offer hors d’oeuvres and a champagne toast at midnight.

Le Meridien
New Year’s Eve is the 4th Annual Southern Skyline Grand Ball at Le Meridien, one of the biggest parties of the year with an expected 4000 guests. Named Charlotte’s “Best Rooftop Bar,” the hotel’s all-inclusive, black-tie optional celebration is a way to ring out 2016 in style. The party starts at 9pm and goes until 2. Look for live music with the Columbia-based Atlas Road Crew, Augusta-based Funk You & The Funk Brotherhorns, and Nashville-based The Vegabonds, among other yet-to-be-announced entertainers and novelty acts. Executive Chef Oscar A. La Fuente is serving up gourmet hors d’oeuvres, and a slow-motion photo booth and professional photographers will be on hand to capture the night.

Rock Bottom
For a NYE date night, from 6pm-12am, Rock Bottom will host a New Year’s Eve dinner for two with a set 4-course meal. The dinner includes an Asiago Artichoke and Crab Dip appetizer, Bourbon Butternut Squash Soup or Zesty Sweet Potato Salad, a Prime Rib entree with horseradish aioli, white cheddar mashed potatoes and honey braised carrots, and the Rock Bottom brownie with ice cream, raspberry puree, whipped cream and fresh raspberries.
