Patton Oswalt, a comedian, actor, and writer best known for playing Spencer in the The King of Queens (1998–2007), shot his most recent stand-up special (he has six stand-up specials already) at The Knight Theater in Charlotte.
The special will air on Netflix.
Oswalt has won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing and a Grammy for his Netflix special Patton Oswalt: Talking for Clapping in 2016.
“I do stand-up at night, and most of the other stuff I do is during the day, so it [isn’t a challenge to fit it in],” Oswalt said. “My biggest challenge in being onstage is keeping things surprising for myself.”
Patton Oswalt has been headlining at comedy clubs all over the United States since 1996, as well as appearing in his standup specials on Comedy Central and HBO. He was chosen as Entertainment Weekly’s “It” comedian in 2002.
Oswalt’s two-show Charlotte stop to record the latest Netflix special is part of his 2019 tour.
