Kindred Gives Us Milk Bread Pudding, and We All Rejoice

Kindred Milk Bread

Kindred may have the world’s most famous bread—seriously.

With kudos given by everyone from Bon Appetit to Food & Wine and Food52, what could have been a modest starter bite turned into the Davidson spot’s most iconic and recognizable dish. So when the pastry team at Kindred, led by Justin B. Samson, decided to start playing with using the milk bread as a base for dessert—first cinnamon rolls and then a bread pudding—we couldn’t have been more eager.

To put it simply, the milk bread pudding delivers… and then some. Their classic recipe soaked in milk, sugar, vanilla, and butter is sweet, decadent cold weather comfort food at its finest. Keep an eye on that ever-changing menu to scoop up the pudding when you can.
