Kindred’s bar is gorgeous. We love the design — honestly, the aesthetic of the entire restaurant is on another level — but this marble majesty would have little capacity to entertain without cocktail wizard Blake Pope behind it. His concoctions never disappoint, and Kindred’s available menu of 7-or-so cocktails is just the tip of the chipped-iceberg. Try one of his alchemical masterworks, like his Pimm’s Cup (one of our favorite summer libations), and revel in a nightlife you didn’t know Davidson could offer.
INGREDIENTS:
1.5 oz Pimm’s no. 1
½ oz Cardinal gin
½ oz lemon juice
½ oz simple syrup
2 oz ginger ale
METHOD:
Line Collins glass with cucumber slice and fill with ice. Muddle lemon, simple syrup, and cucumber slice in tin. Add 5 mint leaves, gin, Pimm’s, ice, and shake. Pour ginger ale into tin and double strain into Collins glass. Garnish with mint sprig.
